7.7. Summary. The cleanliness of the crack is one of the most important factors in crack
preparation that affects the life of the sealant. It is not the only important factor, but it is one that
can be controlled. After the crack has been inspected and approved for cleanliness, the crack is
ready to be sealed (Figure 7.5.).
